Microsoft Unveils Surface Pro 9 and Other Hardware

Microsoft has announced the new Surface Pro 9 and 13.5-inch Surface Laptop 5 both start at $1,000 with Intel 12th-gen and Microsoft SQ3 chips.

On the 12th of October in 2022, Microsoft completed the Surface event for 2022. In addition to various new pieces of hardware, pieces of software, and accessories, the business introduced the next tablet in the Surface Pro range, which is called the Surface Pro 9.

During the course of the event, Microsoft demonstrated the Surface Pro 9. It disclosed that it would be available in two distinct models, one powered by Intel with a starting price of $999 and the other powered by Arm with a beginning price of $1,299.

It has been discovered through research and polling that the Qualcomm and Microsoft SQ3 chip is rumored to be what drives the Arm variant. This SQ3 processor will support 5G, as well as a new neural processing unit and a few other capabilities that are special to it.

The Surface Pro 9 will also be available in various colors, which is another new feature. This time around, the detachable keyboard won’t be the only component that comes in a variety of colors; the tablet itself will be offered in a number of different hues as well. Platinum, Sapphire, Graphite, and Forest are the color options that are available to choose from. That’s a refreshing variation from the standard gray.

Windows 11 Surface Pro 9

Microsoft has collaborated with the design firm Liberty to produce a one-of-a-kind, limited edition version of the Surface device’s keyboard as a gift to mark the tenth anniversary of the Surface series of products. The Bloom wallpaper from Windows 11 will serve as inspiration for the laser-etched blue floral motif that will be featured on the keyboard.

Microsoft also took the opportunity to demonstrate its newest Surface Laptop, the Surface Laptop 5, as well as its all-in-one computer, the Surface Studio 2 Plus. The Surface Laptop 5 will be available in stores on October 25, just like the Surface Pro, and it will be powered by Intel and start at $999. The Surface Studio 2 Plus will come with an RTX 3090 GPU and will be available at an eye-popping price of $4,299, making it far more expensive than its predecessor.
