In mid-December 2022, Elon Musk put out a tweet asking users if he should quit as Twitter CEO, saying he will abide by whatever the result is.

The Twitter poll ended with over 17.5 million votes, with nearly 58% voting “yes.

On Monday, MrBeast changed his Twitter bio mentioning \"Twitter Super Official CEO\" and this sparked speculation about Twitter’s New CEO.
